Privacy Policy
Last updated: May 4, 2026
Defend Trans Rights ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use our website, how we use it, and the choices you have about that information.
Information we collect
When you submit the contact form, we collect the information you provide: your name, phone number, email address, state, the date of any incident you describe, and the story or question you share. We also collect basic technical information your browser sends (such as IP address, user agent, and timestamps) to protect the form from automated abuse.
How we use information
We use submitted information solely to respond to your inquiry and, where appropriate, to connect you with a civil rights attorney who can help with your case. We do not sell your information. We do not share it with third parties except as needed to connect you with legal counsel, and only with your knowledge.
Service providers
We use Resend to deliver transactional emails (the confirmation email we send you and the notification we receive). Resend processes email delivery on our behalf and is bound by its own privacy practices. We may also use Vercel for site hosting.
Retention
We retain submissions for as long as reasonably necessary to respond to your inquiry and maintain records of the client relationship. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete the information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at help@defendtransrights.org.
